I’m not usually the sort to complain and air my grievances in public, but my recent – and indeed first – experiences with these (note: tongue-in-cheek) "service providers" have prompted me to record my experiences here for posterity. I own a 45-year-old classic car – to be precise, an LT 31 fire engine converted into a camper van. I had a breakdown with it and had to have it towed to a nearby garage, as my own garage is 30 kilometres away. I chose Reifen Müller Erfurt quite naively. Shortly afterwards, the workshop manager told me that I would need a new carburettor. As I happen to own a number of spare parts, including a carburettor from an LT of the same model, the plan was to use that one – or at least to check first whether it would fit. From that moment on, I heard nothing further from the mechanic, let alone managed to get hold of anyone at the shop to enquire about the situation. To get any information, I first had to drive to the garage several times. There, I was told rather curtly that the carburettor didn’t fit. After I’d asked, somewhat annoyed, why I was only finding this out now following my own enquiries – and as I was expecting a quote – the mechanic replied, "Well, I thought it wouldn’t cost anything." Quite apart from the fact that I’d never said that – and had quite clearly made it clear that I wanted the car back as soon as possible – I had no choice but to have it repaired there at Reifen Müller Erfurt anyway, as it wasn’t roadworthy. The car had already been in the garage for three weeks. Long story short… after a further two weeks without a single job being done, I had to have the LT towed to my own garage by an external towing company for a towing fee of 150 euros. I’m still waiting for the promised cost estimate from the workshop manager. To me, this is quite clearly a refusal to carry out work and should be dealt with by the management at Reifen Müller. After the LT was inspected on the very same day it arrived at my garage, it turned out to be nothing more than a single connection (full-load control tube) that had come loose – a job taking about 30 minutes. Now my question is: who is going to pay me the 150 euro towing fee? I wouldn’t have incurred these costs if my car had been dealt with professionally from the outset, as it should have been. Even if the member of staff responsible at Reifen Müller didn’t think there was much business to be made from it, this is no way to treat potential customers. I’m actually still considering whether to let my solicitor sort this out. I’ve never come across such unacceptable behaviour (ignorance) in this industry before.Posted on Google![]()

From the moment we dropped off our items without an appointment right through to collection, we were completely satisfied. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they also take personal requests into account.Posted on Google![]()

As I bought and had summer tyres fitted at a car dealership in the 21st calendar week of 2020, I noticed that the DOT numbers differed significantly from one another. Two tyres had the DOT number 1720, whilst the other two had 0119. Strangely enough, however, the storage receipt listed DOT number 1720 for all four tyres.I therefore decided to buy my winter tyres from the Reifen-Müller branch and have them fitted there. This turned out to be the right decision. All four tyres have the same DOT numbers and were even manufactured within a few weeks of being fitted. This is now my go-to place for tyres. I’d also like to note positively that they do take customer reviews on board. Update: I have to correct the 5-star review I left four years ago. The service is no longer what I’d come to expect as a customer. The last seasonal tyre change went smoothly, with no issues raised by the branch. This is also evident on the storage record. When the next tyre change was due, I was told that the outer sidewalls of the front tyres were below 1.6 mm. This was caused by incorrect wheel alignment. This information would have been useful to me if I’d received it beforehand. As a result, the front winter tyres had the same tread pattern. I would have needed two fewer tyres.Posted on Google![]()

Everything went very smoothly. It was easy to book an appointment online, and the staff on site were friendly. They changed the tyres on our caravan and then pushed it across the site to the towing vehicle and hitched it up. Good service. Thank you.Posted on Google![]()

There’s nothing to complain about there – friendly staff and quick service. I recently had two tyres replaced on my trailer; it took 30 minutes and I was back on the road. 👍🏼Posted on Google![]()
