The annual roadworthiness test (HU), including the emissions test (AU), is due every two years for most vehicles. We explain what you need to know.
What you need for the HU/AU
- Certificate of Registration, Part I, the vehicle registration document
- Valid test report from the last inspection, if available
- Where necessary, evidence relating to retrofitted components, such as expert reports
Procedure and costs
At Reifen Müller, we carry out the HU/AU in-store in collaboration with our partner TÜV SÜD. If any faults are found, our qualified mechanics can often rectify them on the spot. The exact costs depend on the type of vehicle and whether any repairs are required. We’d be happy to advise you on a case-by-case basis.
