Solar energy from Hammelburg
Back in 2011, we at Reifen Müller were already committed to renewable energy. At that time, Europe’s largest rooftop photovoltaic system, featuring CIS module technology, was installed on the roof of our central warehouse in Hammelburg – which, even then, was a clear sign of our commitment to a responsible and forward-looking approach to energy.
Ever since then, we have been using the large roof area to generate electricity from solar energy. In doing so, we invested early on in a technology that is now more important than ever.
Retread rather than manufacture new tyres.
Why replace a whole tyre when a large part of it can still be used? At our retreading plant in Hammelburg, we give suitable commercial vehicle tyres a new lease of life. The inspected carcass is retained and fitted with a new tread.
This saves resources and offers a cost-effective alternative to new tyres, particularly for haulage companies, fleets and commercial vehicles.
